Rebecca's Recommendations - November 23, 2005

23 November 2005

By Rebecca Liggero

Happy Thanksgiving! I decided to send out my newsletter one day early so you can check it out while bombed off 19 glasses of wine and close to comatose after consuming a 3,000+ calorie meal. On that note, I think you should visit both Jackpots in a Flash and Mummy's Gold to take advantage of their Turkey Day promos: Jackpots in a Flash is running an "Off the Hook" Thanksgiving promotion until Sunday, November 27th. To be entered into the contest, all you have to do is deposit $50 and play- please click here for more details and prize information. Mummy's Gold is hosing a "Thanksgiving Fiesta" until Sunday, November 27th and you must generate 250 "loyalty points" (points are awarded on your play- the more you wager, the more points you will accumulate) to be entered into this lucky draw. More details and prize information can be found here.

So now that I've got your attention while you're all intoxicated off numerous Thanksgiving cocktails, I should probably tell you how to get your hands on the highest bonus online. City Club Casino offers high rolling (a.k.a. drunk) players an up to $2450 high roller bonus that can be obtained in just one week. Players must deposit $1000 a day for seven days to get a percentage up to 50% back on the seventh day, accumulating to a total of $2450! If you are more of a conservative (a.k.a. sober) player and you feel more comfortable pursuing the match bonus route, you can deposit $100 dollars every day for one week and City Club will double each deposit for a total of $700 free. Oh, and I'm just kidding about the drunk/sober comments- City Club's high roller bonus is pretty amazing- you can do a lot with $2450!! Also, you should participate in City Club's "Say Thanks" promo that is taking place on Thanksgiving Day as you could win $1000.

Lastly, my InterCasino friends have just informed me of two pretty cool non-Thanksgiving promos that are going on this weekend. First, a "marvel-ous" (ha ha) slot tournament will be taking place on the Incredible Hulk slot machines. Enter with $25 and you’ll get one hour to turn $1000 of chips into as much as you can. First prize is $3,000, second is $1,000 and there are 10 third place prizes of $100 each. InterCasino will also be featuring their "Where's Ryan" promo this weekend. If you "see" Ryan Hartley (InterCasino Casino Manager) wandering around the multi-player tables and say "hi" to him in the chat box, he’ll give you 50 bucks. If you happen to be on the Blackjack tables, go ahead and challenge him to a hand- if you beat him, he’ll double that instant prize to $100. If you're dealt a natural Blackjack, he’ll double it again for a total of $200! All you have to do is email the code he gives you, plus your user name and account number, to and the money will go straight into your account. Oh yea, and the InterCasino Millionaire’s Club Slot jackpot is now sitting at over $1.57 million. Go on, sign up and give it a pull...

Ok, last but not least, I'm going to leave you some very valuable information: Things To Do Thanksgiving Day If You Want To Be Excused Early (so you can gamble online, obviously)

1)Announce that you would like to start a new family tradition, and proceed to take off your clothes at the dinner table.

2)When it's your turn to state what you are thankful for, say "latex sheets and crisco".

3)Recite the tragic and abusive conditions known to exist at turkey farms.

4)Promise that the winner of the "wish bone tug" gets to sleep with your date. (sex/age unimportant)

5)Twitch a lot and nervously tell the person next to you, "THE SAFETY IS ON", while you hold your pocket.

Rebecca Liggero, a native of Wellesley, Massachusetts, has always loved meeting new people, building relationships, and traveling the world – perfect qualities for someone who, since early 2005, has won many friends and influenced countless people in the worldwide online gaming community.

After graduating from Bates College with a degree in psychology, Rebecca spent four years in Washington, DC, working in relationship management, dreaming all the while about someday making it big in online gaming. After turning down an opportunity to live in New Zealand, she moved back to Boston and signed on as Senior Account Manager for Casino City – the beginning of a dream come true!

Rebecca’s work on behalf of Casino City (and later for the GPWA as well) took her to trade shows and conferences everywhere – Amsterdam, Barcelona, Costa Rica, Montreal, London, Las Vegas, Macau and many other ports of call – and along the way she began chronicling her incredible around-the-clock adventures in a wildly entertaining and industry-savvy weekly column that quickly became – and still remains – must reading for everyone who is anyone in online gaming. Following almost three years with the Casino City team, Rebecca spent a few months at Everest Affiliates where she was the Brand Manager of the affiliate program. While working on “the other side,” she realized that she truly missed her weekly column and the affiliate side of the business and decided to return to the Casino City family.

One and a half years later, Rebecca resigned from Casino City and joined industry icon Calvin Ayre to serve as the Bodog Global Brand Ambassador and the head on-site reporter for the online gambling industry tablog, In her new capacity, Rebecca continues to travel the world, and when asked where she is based, her response is usually "on an airplane."
