Rebecca's Recommendations - March 2, 2006

2 March 2006

By Rebecca Liggero

Happy March! Is everyone ready for March Madness? I'll do some digging between now and the 16th so I can let you know what sportsbooks to check out for some good bonuses and March Madness fun. In preparation for the madness, I have a great suggestion for you. Why don't you open up an account at InterCasino between now and Sunday, March 12th and wager $50 on InterCasino's 9 Line Slots Line and/or Nothin' But Net' Slots game? InterCasino will be giving away 25 "funky" mini bar fridges (whatever that means) in addition to $3000 worth of casino vouchers to 25 lucky players who meet the above criteria. The more $50 deposits you make, the more entries you receive, so get going! Winners will be announced on March 13th, just in time to stock your "funky" mini bar fridge full of icy cold brew for the basketball games. Perfect.

Speaking of InterCasino, I must tell you about another one of their unbelievable March promotions. This one is for the boys. If you would like to win "The Ride of a Lifetime" worth over $4000, open up an account with InterCasino, claim your $100 match deposit bonus, and register for the contest between now and the end of March. This "Ride of a Lifetime" includes 30 laps of your favorite circuit in a Nascar reaching speeds of 155mph (!), roundtrip airfare for two, and top notch hotel accommodations near the circuit of your choice. Get those wifebeaters ready!

Ok, so here is yet another March promotion that I must bring to your attention- this is a total inside scoop, so please pay attention. Absolute Poker has become one of my favorite poker rooms for many reasons, but especially because these guys really take care of their players and their affiliates. For example, there is a March promotion at Absolute that will only be communicated to players like you through affiliates like me: at the conclusion of the month, Absolute Poker will be awarding three of their affiliate-referred players with a trip for two to Costa Rica. Costa Rica! I am obsessed with Costa Rica! Players automatically receive one entry for an initial registration with Absolute and an additional automatic entry for every $50 deposited between now and the end of March. Oh, and here is the best part- if you win, I CAN COME WITH YOU! I mean, can you think of a better prize? Ha ha. Just kidding. Seriously though, Costa Rica is one of my favorite places on earth. It is gorgeous, it is warm, the people are lovely, and, at least when I'm in town, my Bodog friends wine and dine me pretty good.

Lastly, for those of you who are faster paced and want instant results, I really think you should check out the new and improved Strike it Lucky, one of the best no download, flash casinos out there. The same guys who offer one hour of free play at Casino Classic (yes, you get to keep your winnings) have just made over Strike it Lucky, and because a download is not required, you can deposit and play right away! Also, new players can take advantage of Strike it Lucky's $20 free with a $40 purchase. Enjoy! Rebecca

Rebecca Liggero, a native of Wellesley, Massachusetts, has always loved meeting new people, building relationships, and traveling the world – perfect qualities for someone who, since early 2005, has won many friends and influenced countless people in the worldwide online gaming community.

After graduating from Bates College with a degree in psychology, Rebecca spent four years in Washington, DC, working in relationship management, dreaming all the while about someday making it big in online gaming. After turning down an opportunity to live in New Zealand, she moved back to Boston and signed on as Senior Account Manager for Casino City – the beginning of a dream come true!

Rebecca’s work on behalf of Casino City (and later for the GPWA as well) took her to trade shows and conferences everywhere – Amsterdam, Barcelona, Costa Rica, Montreal, London, Las Vegas, Macau and many other ports of call – and along the way she began chronicling her incredible around-the-clock adventures in a wildly entertaining and industry-savvy weekly column that quickly became – and still remains – must reading for everyone who is anyone in online gaming. Following almost three years with the Casino City team, Rebecca spent a few months at Everest Affiliates where she was the Brand Manager of the affiliate program. While working on “the other side,” she realized that she truly missed her weekly column and the affiliate side of the business and decided to return to the Casino City family.

One and a half years later, Rebecca resigned from Casino City and joined industry icon Calvin Ayre to serve as the Bodog Global Brand Ambassador and the head on-site reporter for the online gambling industry tablog, In her new capacity, Rebecca continues to travel the world, and when asked where she is based, her response is usually "on an airplane."
