Rebecca's Recommendations - June 30, 2006

30 June 2006

By Rebecca Liggero

I am off to Paris for a wedding this weekend. Can you believe this? The fun never stops, I swear. However, this time around I will not have the luxury of VIP tables, unlimited Cristal champagne, and fine tequila, and I will not be in the immediate presence of Dennis Rodman, Costa Rican escorts, or any billionaires who make People's hottest bachelors list. What is that all about? Forget it. I'm not going. Ha ha. Just kidding. What I will tell you is that I fully plan on watching Italia kick Ukraine's ASS in the quarter finals of the World Cup in some local French bar. For those of you who do not know, my last name is Liggero (no, not Liquorero, although I kind of wish it was) so now you can see where my true loyalties come from. Anyhow, enough about me and my heritage- this week I have some exclusive offers for Casino City players, a new site, and some old favorites to tell you all about. Tres excitant.

Lets start off with the good stuff- exclusive Casino City player offers, of course. Fire and Ice and Hot Pepper, two sites represented by delightful individuals that I have met during my travels, quickly fulfilled my request for a nice Casino City player offer this week. So here we go...if you open up a new account with Fire and Ice and deposit money between today and next Friday, July 7th, you will receive a 125% slots match bonus as opposed to the regular 100% bonus. As soon as you deposit, please send an email to allison@fireandicecasino.com with the subject line "125slots" to claim your special bonus. If you open up an account with Hot Pepper between today and next Friday, you will receive a special $10 free sign up bonus. To claim your free $10, please send an email to cameron@hotpeppercasino.com with the subject line "Casino10". Enjoy it!

Next I would like to introduce you to a new site that I am really excited to be working with. When I was in Montreal a few months ago, I had the pleasure of meeting with the lovely folks behind Villento Las Vegas, Microgaming's newest casino. The philosophy behind the site's creation is very simple: Villento Las Vegas must become every player's number one alternative to an actual Vegas casino. As a result, players at Villento are treated as individuals as opposed to just "numbered accounts"- for example, Villento offers a personalized VIP loyalty program that rewards players on an individual basis. In addition, players are welcome to enjoy any game at the casino and cash out when they choose, thanks to Microgaming's new bonus system that Villento has chosen to adopt. You must take advantage as Villento currently offers over 240 casino games, 167 slots, 40 video pokers, 32 table games, keno and scratch cards- a pretty impressive selection I must say. To get you started, Villento offers new players a 100% match bonus up to $100, so please take a look around and let me know what you think!

Lastly, I would like to re-introduce a couple of my old favorites, River Belle Online Casino and Lucky Nugget Online Casino, two online gaming sites also powered by Microgaming. Both River Belle and Lucky Nugget offer unique monthly promotions coupled with generous sign up and first deposit bonuses that are certainly worth your consideration. River Belle, a site that wants their players to "Enjoy Southern Hospitality", currently offers a $25 free no deposit required sign up bonus plus buy $50 get $100 free on your first deposit. Also, River Belle has been a "featured casino" on Online Casino City for quite some time and has traditionally ranked very well on the Casino City objective popularity listings. These guys must be doing something right! Lucky Nugget, another online casino that has maintained a strong objective ranking on Casino City, offers a new welcome bonus that I really like. If you decide to open up an account with Lucky Nugget, you can claim 100 free spins at the Tunzamunni progressive slot for a chance to "strike it lucky" and win a $10,000 minimum jackpot. You seriously cannot lose! Rebecca

Rebecca Liggero

Rebecca Liggero, a native of Wellesley, Massachusetts, has always loved meeting new people, building relationships, and traveling the world – perfect qualities for someone who, since early 2005, has won many friends and influenced countless people in the worldwide online gaming community.

After graduating from Bates College with a degree in psychology, Rebecca spent four years in Washington, DC, working in relationship management, dreaming all the while about someday making it big in online gaming. After turning down an opportunity to live in New Zealand, she moved back to Boston and signed on as Senior Account Manager for Casino City – the beginning of a dream come true!

Rebecca’s work on behalf of Casino City (and later for the GPWA as well) took her to trade shows and conferences everywhere – Amsterdam, Barcelona, Costa Rica, Montreal, London, Las Vegas, Macau and many other ports of call – and along the way she began chronicling her incredible around-the-clock adventures in a wildly entertaining and industry-savvy weekly column that quickly became – and still remains – must reading for everyone who is anyone in online gaming. Following almost three years with the Casino City team, Rebecca spent a few months at Everest Affiliates where she was the Brand Manager of the affiliate program. While working on “the other side,” she realized that she truly missed her weekly column and the affiliate side of the business and decided to return to the Casino City family.

One and a half years later, Rebecca resigned from Casino City and joined industry icon Calvin Ayre to serve as the Bodog Global Brand Ambassador and the head on-site reporter for the online gambling industry tablog, CalvinAyre.com. In her new capacity, Rebecca continues to travel the world, and when asked where she is based, her response is usually "on an airplane."
