Rebecca's Recommendations - July 14, 2006

14 July 2006

By Rebecca Liggero

I have a story for you. Earlier this week I was interviewing a candidate for a position similar to mine here at Casino City. The candidate explained to me that he googles the names of his interviewers before coming in for the actual interview. Apparently the candidate was not informed that he would be speaking with me, and as a result, he was unable to google my name in advance. Of course I spelled out my full name for him and told him he can google my name because, naturally, I have nothing to hide. Well, after he left, I decided to check out what actually happens when you google my name and...oh my god...please take a moment and do it. Thanks a lot Gambling 911. Now I’m going to scare away all potential Casino City employees, future husbands and family members, and I'm certainly screwed if I ever decide to leave this industry. Oh well. At least I can include "LOOGWA" on my resume.

Ok, now for the real purpose of this newsletter. Lets start with a new, industry-first promotion that was released on Wednesday, July 12th. Vegas Palms, an online casino represented by an amazing group of people (my tequila loving friend included), offers all new players a "Bottomless Bonus" that can be topped up an unlimited number of times for five days. All you have to do is download the software, register a Real Account, and make a deposit of $35-$100 to receive your 100% match bonus. This bonus is "bottomless" meaning that it can be topped up as many times as you want for five days and when you are through, up to $200 of the bonus is yours to keep. Not a bad deal. We like free money.

In addition to Vegas Palm's Bottomless Bonus, I have an exclusive Casino City player offer to send your way. Sierra Star Casino has pulled together a FREE 4th deposit bonus for Casino City players only. To receive your bonus, please open up a real account with Sierra Star, claim your 100% up to $300 bonus, make two more deposits within seven days and email Sandra to request a free 4th deposit. This free deposit will be the average of your first three deposits up to a maximum of $150. For a full list of the terms and conditions please email me and I'll send you a copy. Also, during the month of July, Sierra Star is offering all new players $10 free no deposit required. Go ahead and try it out!

Ok, that's all for this week. Have fun with the bonuses and please don't forget that sex and online gambling are not a good mix,Rebecca

Rebecca Liggero

Rebecca Liggero, a native of Wellesley, Massachusetts, has always loved meeting new people, building relationships, and traveling the world – perfect qualities for someone who, since early 2005, has won many friends and influenced countless people in the worldwide online gaming community.

After graduating from Bates College with a degree in psychology, Rebecca spent four years in Washington, DC, working in relationship management, dreaming all the while about someday making it big in online gaming. After turning down an opportunity to live in New Zealand, she moved back to Boston and signed on as Senior Account Manager for Casino City – the beginning of a dream come true!

Rebecca’s work on behalf of Casino City (and later for the GPWA as well) took her to trade shows and conferences everywhere – Amsterdam, Barcelona, Costa Rica, Montreal, London, Las Vegas, Macau and many other ports of call – and along the way she began chronicling her incredible around-the-clock adventures in a wildly entertaining and industry-savvy weekly column that quickly became – and still remains – must reading for everyone who is anyone in online gaming. Following almost three years with the Casino City team, Rebecca spent a few months at Everest Affiliates where she was the Brand Manager of the affiliate program. While working on “the other side,” she realized that she truly missed her weekly column and the affiliate side of the business and decided to return to the Casino City family.

One and a half years later, Rebecca resigned from Casino City and joined industry icon Calvin Ayre to serve as the Bodog Global Brand Ambassador and the head on-site reporter for the online gambling industry tablog, CalvinAyre.com. In her new capacity, Rebecca continues to travel the world, and when asked where she is based, her response is usually "on an airplane."
